SHOWCASE
This page highlights some of the projects I completed during my education at Michigan State University that have allowed me to grow into the employee I am today. Two of the projects include leadership building, such as developing a professional development activity and creating a vision statement for my district in the area of technology. Four other projects are centered around the remix/maker movement, where I developed an infographic on why educators should join the movement, a remix video about makers, and a lesson plan that showcases how to integrate technology in a meaningful way. Finally, I included two examples research I completed, in which I researched the impact of the maker movement, specifically 3D printers on students and then a presentation about increasing student engagement in science. Completing these projects allowed me to gain leadership, analysis, and technology integration skills.

Vision Statement for Technology Usage for a DistrictBy working closely with others, I was able to craft a mission and vision for our current or future work location that centered around my philosophies regarding educational technology. The vision I created for my school district is one I still believe in and would love to make come true. In completion of this project, I learned the aspects of crafting a vision statement that would convince stakeholders of my argument.
Maker Movement InfographicLearning Space RedesignedI had the opportunity to consider if the learning environments my students were in support their natural instinct to learn through creation and discovery. I thought about my own classroom and if I have a learning environment that is set up to support students in collaboration, creativity, discovery, and taking chances. I was able to redesign my classroom virtually to show how I would ideally have it set up.
